The idea of the illustration is to show that we are only strong together.

I got inspired by the book "The Hidden Life of Trees". The author describes how closely connected the trees are in the ancient forest. We don't see it on the surface, but the trees are connected underground by roots. Even trees of different species enter into this relationship. They distribute useful nutrients, sugar and water through the roots. They inform each other about dangerous insects or fungi. They communicate with each other. And they suffer in human-planted forests because their root tips lose their ability to connect. So they are surrounded by other trees, but at the same time they are alone.

And that's how I see us, people.
We also have "roots". Our "roots" are different. Our life stories, background, thoughts, beliefs, experiences are different. But only accepting each other's roots as they are, connecting and understanding will give us strength. And then we can share, help, understand, communicate, generate great ideas and collaborate making this world a better place to live together.
We will never be able to do it alone.
